Rachel Wells (she/her) is an independent journalist covering reproductive and abortion rights, sexual violence, and trauma. Her work has appeared on the cover of ACLU Magazine and in Rewire News, Nashville Banner, Nashville Scene, and The Tennessean, among others. She was previously the Director of Editorial Operations at WME IMG.
Rachel has spoken publically on the importance of access to mental and reproductive healthcare and provided testimony to Congress in support of the Violence Against Women’s Act. Her advocacy projects have been featured in the New York Times, Fast Company, New York Magazine, and Cosmopolitan.
In April 2025, Rachel launched TN Repro News to keep Tennesseans informed of the constantly evolving legislative threats to reproductive freedom.
She lives in Nashville with her husband and son and spends her spare time hiking in the forest.
